We invite joy and we celebrate creativity. In the centre of Stockholm lies K9, an international urban coliving community. 20 minutes south right by the wonderful lake Drevviken is Lakehouse. Urban nature, global outreach.

The story behind

For over the 100 years the amazingly beautiful area right next to lake Drevviken has been a node for deaconry and social work with roots in 1890s Sweden. Industrialism led to large displacements of people and years of stunted growth made misery great. The Stora Sköndal Foundation focused on taking care of people that society in general did not take care of. As a part of this, Kyrkbyns Gästhem was established. Since five years, the main building Kyrkbyns Gästhem has been empty. It is now time to again fill it with life.

Drrawing on seven years of K9 Coliving experiences, cocreated by hundrers of K9:ers, the journey continues with the impact hub LAKEHOUSE.
